WORLD FOOD SAFETY DAY 2020



Food safety is not only the responsibilities of the producers but also for government as well as consumers too. Everyone must play role regarding food safety from farm to plate.

7 the June is celebrated as World Food Safety Day. This year world is celebrating the second World Food Safety Day. A/ WHO, the main aim of celebrating this day is to draw attention and to take action 
* to help prevent
* to detect 
* to manage food borne risk,
Contributing to food security, human health, agriculture, market, economic prosperity, tourism and sustainable development. This day was first celebrated in 2019 in Geneva under the umbrella of "The future of Food Safety".

This year theme is "FOOD SAFETY, EVERYONE'S BUSINESS". This theme is to promote global food safety awareness among the general population.
