Some random thoughts
This pandemic has brought an enormous threat to both lives and livelihood of poor Indian population. Since, PM Narendra Modi has announced lockdown in the country many poor workers lost their jobs due to which they are facing huge problems. Overall, this situation is like a nightmare for them. In this context, I want to mention two points:
1. Indian government do cares about its poors because various aids were provided by the government of India to many households via direct account transfer or through PDS. But question is whether actual, true needy people are being able to get this.

2.Specially in Assam, Government employees were asked to support families who are in financial crisis and cannot afford food items for atleast one time. Thus, many people based on their ability, are extending their helping hands by giving essential foodstuffs for such needy peoples. Besides this many peoples on their own, Non government organizations(NGOs) and many private sectors are also supporting many deprived peoples in this chaotic situation. But question is how long they will eat from that foodstuff and it is also not possible to give maximum food items to only one house.
As we know, phase unlock 1 had announced along with lockdown recently, so all are emerging towards new normal. Therefore, I hope the situation will improve day by day.
